This privacy policy explains how SurveyCheck ("I", "me", "Fran Mickelborough") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use surveycheck.uk or my services. SurveyCheck is operated by Fran Mickelborough as a sole trader, based in the United Kingdom.

What information I collect

I collect the following information, depending on how you interact with SurveyCheck:

  • Your email address, when you sign up to receive The Survey Decoder guide or any other free resource, or when you purchase a service.

  • Information you choose to send me, including your house survey document and any details you share when you request a Survey Review or Video Walkthrough.

  • Payment information, when you purchase a service. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; I do not store or have access to your full card details.

  • Technical and usage information, such as your IP address, browser type, and how you interact with my website, collected through cookies and similar technologies (including those used by Google).

How I use your information

I use your information to:

  • Send you the free guide or resource you requested.

  • Send you related follow-up emails that help you understand your survey and explain how my services work. You can unsubscribe from these at any time using the link in every email.

  • Provide the services you pay for, including reviewing your survey and delivering your report or walkthrough.

  • Process your payment.

  • Respond to your questions and provide support.

  • Improve my website and services, and measure the performance of my advertising.

Legal basis for processing

Under UK data protection law, I process your data on the basis of your consent (for marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time), and to fulfil a contract with you (when you purchase a service).

Email marketing

When you sign up for a free resource, you'll receive a short series of follow-up emails. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. If you unsubscribe, I'll stop sending you marketing emails, though I may still contact you about a service you've actively purchased.

Third parties I work with

I use trusted third-party services to run SurveyCheck. These include:

  • Systeme.io, which hosts my website, manages email sign-ups, and sends my emails.

  • Stripe, which processes payments securely.

  • Calendly, which manages bookings for video walkthroughs.

  • Google, including Google Ads and related advertising and analytics tools, which help me run and measure my advertising. Google may set cookies and use device identifiers to do this.

These providers process your data on my behalf and are required to keep it secure. I do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Cookies and advertising

My website uses cookies and similar technologies, including those from Google, to make the site work, understand how it's used, and measure my advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings. You can also opt out of personalised Google advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings page (adssettings.google.com).

How long I keep your data

I may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed.
